People:

Turks & Caicos Islanders are mostly descendants of Africans who were brought in to work in the salt fields or the cotton plantations. There is also a strong expatriate population consisting of Canadians, Americans, French, Bahamians, people from Hispaniola and virtually everywhere in the world.

People on the islands, called "Belongers", are known for their friendly spirit, which helps ensure that the Turks and Caicos Islands are a destination that make people de-stress, feel comfortable and truly relax.
